"Mistakes" (the "App") values your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles user data.

1. Data We Process

The App stores most mistake records, practice records, learning settings, avatars, backups, and related study data locally on the user's device by default.

When users choose to use AI recognition, AI problem solving, AI-generated practice, or subjective-answer grading features, the App may send user-selected or user-captured problem images, problem text, options, answers, learning settings, and answer content to our server to complete the requested AI analysis.

Our server may keep necessary request logs, including request time, API path, processing result, error information, and request or response content needed for troubleshooting. Such request content may include uploaded problem images or problem text.

The App does not actively collect contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers, and does not use data for advertising tracking.

2. How We Use Data

We use the data described above to:

• Provide core features such as AI recognition, problem solving, practice generation, and grading;
• Store and display local learning records;
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain service stability and security;
• Improve the App experience.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide AI analysis features, submitted problem images, text, and related content may be sent to third-party AI service providers for processing. We do not use this data for advertising tracking or sell it to data brokers.

4. Camera and Photo Library Permissions

The App requests camera permission only so users can actively take problem photos. The App requests photo library permission only so users can actively select problem images or avatars. The App does not automatically read or upload photo library content without user action.

5. Local Web Service

The App may provide a local network web management feature that allows users to manage their mistake notebook from a browser on the same Wi-Fi network. This feature runs only when the user actively enables it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored locally on the device is managed by the user. Users may delete related content in the App or remove local data by uninstalling the App.

Server logs are used only for service maintenance, troubleshooting, and security auditing. Users may contact us using the information below to request deletion of server-side processing records related to them.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for learning scenarios. If minors use the App, they should do so with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. Please avoid uploading images or content containing sensitive personal information such as names, ID numbers, contact details, or addresses.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect data, including HTTPS transmission and restricted access to server data. However, no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy based on feature changes or compliance requirements. Updated policies will be made available through the App or a public web page.
